I had the privilege, as did others, of sitting in with Tony on a few Monday nights whilst Ann went out. Sometimes I took a crossword, occasionally half done, which Tony would finish off for me. His excellent knowledge of films and actors, or music, was highly valued!

We sometimes watched EastEnders just to have a laugh at the weak storyline or bad acting. (sorry if you are a fan).

One evening, I made a cup of tea for us both, to drink along with a KitKat each...one of Tony's favourite snacks. It wasn't long before Tony had melted chocolate all around his mouth and on his hands and we were both laughing at the indulgence of it! We had to quickly clean up before Ann returned home and when she did we sat there like two innocent schoolboys who'd got away with it.
